About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Policy and Public Affairs Coordinator to join our dynamic Devolved Nations Policy and Public Affairs (PPA) team to support the delivery of our policy and public affairs programmes in Wales. 

You’ll work closely with the PPA Manager and Senior PPA Manager to drive effective parliamentary and governmental engagement and contribute to policy development with a commitment to evidence-based solutions. 

You’ll assist in planning and delivering events, developing briefing papers, and staying updated on relevant strategies and public policies. You’ll also participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.  

Working arrangements 

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Cardiff office. 

The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you must be prepared to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause. Most of our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office each week, on average.

About you 

As our ideal candidate, you’ll excel at understanding and interpreting complex policy issues, planning your workload, and meeting deadlines. You’ll have excellent communication skills and will be committed to high standards of relationship management.  

With a collaborative working style, you’ll be dedicated to promoting cardiovascular health and work well on your own initiative. Your effective interpersonal skills will enable you to develop strong working relationships with senior managers. 

IT literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office, you’ll have proven experience of effective analytical skills and critical thinking, allowing you to understand and interpret complex policy issues and convey information to a variety of audiences.
