Job Description

Salary: up to £70,000 DOE

Welcome Bonus: up to £10,000

Relocation Allowance: up to £8,000

The Role:

Here at Priory Vets, Cardigan we are looking for a Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly farm and equine team (we could facilitate applicants looking for 100% farm). You will also be partnering with Steffan Vets so will have access to a varied team ad equipment – a very exciting time.

You would be involved in caring for a range of farms, with a good mix of beef, dairy, and sheep, and we run a smallholder’s club to look after the increasing number of non-professional farmers in our area. You will have the chance to gain experience in looking after goats, alpacas, and pigs, and we have a wide range of equine clients if that is an area of interest too.

Our Rota:

We are happy to accept both full/part-time applications, working between 8:30am-5:30pm, which occasional earlier starts or finishes which would be agreed in advance with our clients. There is a 1:5 weekday and weekend on-call rota, with our Vets getting the Monday off following a weekend on call.

We fully support any Vet who wishes to undertake a certificate and currently have a Vet completing a certificate in advanced veterinary practice in camelid medicine.
