Stagecoach South Wales are inviting applications for an Engineering Manager to lead a team in our state of the art, flag ship depot in Cwmbran.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for a team of engineering colleagues including skilled vehicle technicians, coach builders, electricians and our presentation team members who do an amazing job of getting the fleet of vehicles safely out on the road for our local community every single day.

Our engineering teams make sure vehicles travelling on average of 12 million miles across South Wales are in top condition to do just that, providing reliability and the preferred customer brand of choice for travel whilst maintaining the highest quality standards for vehicle maintenance and presentation.

What we need from you:

Our Engineering Managers are the pin that holds it all together and you will be responsible for ensuring your team is prepared, trained and motivated to deliver vehicles which are safe, reliable and presented to the highest of standards that our customers and drivers expect.

You do not have to come from a bus background, but you will need to have worked in a related field, such as the truck/haulage industries in an engineering setting with the minimum of NVQ Level 3 or HGV or PSV maintenance or equivalent and be a people person, capable of fostering teamwork by mentoring, coaching and encouragement to maintain performance and standards.
