Reporting to the Chief Officer Governance, you will help the Council to modernise its use of data and digitise its services to the benefit of our residents and to lower costs.

This post will contribute to and support the achievement of the strategic goals of the organisation through development and delivery of the Corporate IT Strategy, ensuring the Council receives high quality IT services that represent value for money and facilitate the delivery of council policies, strategies and services against a backdrop of reducing budgets.
The post will take responsibility for strategic direction and accountability for the overall delivery of the all of the Councils IT Business Services ensuring that they develop and evolve to take account of changes in technology, whilst also identifying opportunities to reduce cost of provision. Development of a programme of digitisation should support the Council in streamlining and modernising working practices by utilising IT as a means of service improvement or cost reduction.
