Since 2012, we have been giving those experiencing or who have experienced domestic abuse the opportunity to return to learning - inspiring them to realise their full potential. We see education as a tool for social justice, not just self-improvement, and we pride ourselves on making learning egalitarian and accessible.

Developing, delivering, and maintaining a key educational programme, you will ensure that our learners enjoy an outstanding experience. At the heart of our closely-knit area team, you will support and manage tutors, engage volunteers to work across various boroughs and identify business development opportunities as well as manage a programme of study. About you:

Empowering people from all walks of life is what we are all about, so we are keen to hear from people in disadvantaged or underrepresented groups. Whatever your background, it is essential that the person has a PGCE/PCET or equivalent, alongside extensive experience of developing tutors, co-ordinating diverse stakeholders and engaging with those who are disadvantaged. Equally importantly, you should be exceptionally organised and methodical. The ideal candidate will be IT literate and able to support delivery through a blended learning approach including the use of Zoom, TEAMS and our MOODLE Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

The Tutor and Engagement Officer will provide a supportive service to individuals in the wider community. The Tutor will work with individuals who are or have experienced domestic abuse. The Tutor will deliver Agored Cymru accredited units and Qualifications to women 18+. The courses will be delivered at Entry Level 1 and above and will include a range of varied qualifications and accredited modules.

Company Information

Threshold DAS is an organisation committed to the elimination of violence and abuse of women, men, children and young people and those who are perpetrators through effecting political, cultural, and social change.

In 2002, our outreach office was opened. This provided an opportunity for women living in the community to access our services. To develop this service further, we were fortunate to secure funding from The Welsh Assembly Government. This enabled us to employ Floating Support workers, which gave us the resources to support an extra 15 families.
