Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Operational Maintenance Manager at the Estates Department, Morriston Hospital.

The Operational Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of all estates services and staff within the Morriston Estates Unit. 

The post holder will provide a safe, secure and pleasant environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required  in the course of their duties to:-

  • Deputise for the Estates Managers as required.
  • Take a lead role in the management of Estates staff members.
  • Ensuring that the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme is maintained and revised on an ongoing basis to meet statutory  requirements.
  • Report  departmental performance on a monthly basis to the Estates Manager detailing variations in standards and activity.
  • Advise the Estates Manager of any changes to the condition of the estate.
  • Act as Authorising Officer and/or AP for delegated activities e.g. Medical gases, LV/HV, Water, Decontamination, Ventilation, Lifts etc
  • Will be required to be part of an on call out of hours service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
