Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Domiciliary Service for people wanting to make a real difference to the lives of people in our community. We support individuals to remain living in their own homes by enabling them to meet their personal outcomes and feel safe and secure in their own environment.

Domiciliary Service provides individuals with assistance with activities of daily living such as personal care; physical and emotional wellbeing, and maintaining nutritional or meal preparation.

We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated candidates who have empathy and respect. The ideal candidate will appreciate the differences in others and strive to deliver a person-centred service. They will work well as part of a team and on their own initiative; and be able to follow plans and break down barriers to ensure outcomes are achieved. They will be flexible in their approach and committed to making a positive difference.

To support any interested applicants, we are offering meet and greet sessions to support, guide, and advise on the post being applied for and if any support is required in completing the application.

Adult Social Care is working to increase its Welsh speaking workforce to meet the needs of the community we serve, therefore will particularly welcome applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh.

The Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious belief or age.

The Council is committed to developing its bilingual workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
