Finance Assistant

Role Summary

They are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join the Finance Team on a 12 Month temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of accounts receivable, in particular the invoicing of customers both for UK and German sites, cash management across number of locations and general ledger activities, primarily the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. This role requires strong analytical and organisational skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work collaboratively within a global team.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable transaction processing including customer invoices, credit notes, cash receipts and adjustments.
  • Distribution of customer financial documentation to the appropriate party including customer invoices, credit notes, statements and other required information.
  • Completes transactions in respect of daily cash deposits through completion of the daily cashbook, and cash allocation.
  • Update daily cash activities and reconcile to bank records.
  • Maintain SharePoint workflows to ensure timely invoice approvals.
  • Assist the Controller with the compilation of weekly cash balances and monthly cash forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, month end schedules and analysis.
  • Assist with statistical analyses to help determine trends, estimates and significant changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller to support the department.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience of working in a Finance Function.
  • AAT or equivalent an advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Integrated Accounting Software (Oracle/SAP experience preferred).
  • Experience in both account receivable and general ledger activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Technical understanding of accounts – at least to Trial Balance.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a team environment.

Remuneration Package

  • Annual Salary – £28,000 - £31,000 per annum.
  • Working Hours – Days, Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:30pm.
  • Location – Bridgend, South Wales.
  • Contract Term – 12 Months.
