Moxie People is excited to be working with a valued client, a leading not-for-profit organisation, in their search for a temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience and a positive, can-do attitude to join a friendly and purpose-driven team.

Though this role is temporary, the organisation will soon be advertising a longer-term contract, which the interim candidate is welcome to apply for!

Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Caerphilly (flexible & agile working – no set number of days in the office)

Rate: £15.94 per hour

Duration: temp for 2 months (initially)

Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process financial data to ensure timely and efficient reporting.
  • Administer utility contracts, including invoice processing, resolving queries, and following up on approvals for prompt payment.
  • Lead initiatives to simplify and improve the utility billing process.
  • Process and code various invoices, including telephone bills.
  • Perform checks on payment runs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the finance team and provide cover for the Purchase Ledger Assistant when needed.
  • Ensure adherence to finance policies, procedures, and consistent working practices.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience in full-cycle purchase ledger processes.
  • Familiarity with payment run procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive, can-do attitude.
