You will be joining the ITS Business Quality Assurance (QA) team responsible for delivering high quality outcomes from QA & testing on solutions. Able to own your areas of the product and work with a team to ensure the success of solutions. You’ll be responsible for functional and automaton testing and liaising with the non-functional test team to make sure all areas of quality assurance are carried out to produce high quality software. This role is required to work within project & product teams to lead & deliver high quality test scripts, well tested software and to provide feedback on the usability of our software. Your role isn’t just to test but to provide assurance that our people will find using our software easy to use and helpful to their roles. Our test work is varied spanning: desktop estate (Mac, Windows), off the shelf vs custom developed vs integrated apps.

The Main roles and responsibilities for the position are:

  • Developing and implementing test strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance standards. Initially, this will be specific to HR and finance systems but other opportunities will be present as required.
  • Leading a team of testers, providing guidance and support in the execution of test cases, and overseeing the overall testing processes.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand system requirements, identify potential risks, and ensure that testing activities address critical business processes.
  • Conducting thorough testing of system functionalities, integrations, and data accuracy, and reporting on test results to project stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities for test automation, streamlining testing processes, and driving continuous improvement in testing methodologies.
  • Ensuring that testing activities adhere to regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams, project managers, and leadership to provide insights on the quality and readiness of systems for deployment or implementation.

  • Degree level qualification in computer science or an equivalent course
  • Extensive experience in testing and leading / managing a test team
  • In-depth knowledge of HR and finance systems, processes, and best practices, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Proven experience in leading testing efforts for HR and finance systems, including the development of test strategies, test plans, and test cases specific to these domains.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and data privacy considerations relevant to HR and finance systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in test management tools, test automation, and test data management, with a focus on improving testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of testers, providing guidance on testing methodologies, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with HR, finance, and IT teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and alignment with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, human capital management (HCM) systems, financial management systems, and their integrations.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar.
  • SAP Success Factors, S/4HANA certifications
  • ISTQB certified
  • TOSCA AS1 & AS2 certified
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.

Desirable:

  • Experience in automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Certified in automation tools
  • Experience in other SAP modules (e.g., SAP FI/CO).
