We’re recruiting a brand-new team on behalf of a global software tech company and are looking for experienced Business Development Managers with a background in a fast paced, full cycle, SaaS telesales or business development role to be part of this exciting period of growth.

Here’s a bit more about the role:

Job Title: Business Development Manager - SaaS

Salary: up to £48,000 pa + commission (OTE £25,000)

Hours: 37.5 hpw, Monday to Friday working pattern

Location: Cardiff (free parking onsite) with hybrid working available (up to 2 days home working per week)

Contract: Permanent

As a Business Development Manager, your role will be responsible for developing and acquiring new business, expanding the customer base selling software products and services across the UK. Key duties will include:

  • Meet revenue and key performance indicators set by the business, achieved by outbound prospecting.
  • Implement sales strategies and plans across all sales areas and product streams across a defined Territory to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
  • Rapidly increase the penetration of software (SaaS) services within the UK and in line with the sales targets, market penetration and product coverage KPI’s.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders with a view to identifying new revenue opportunities and acquiring new clients.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer care.
  • Be the face of the company in your Territory, speaking at conferences, establishing key relationships with the press/institutions/bodies, and advising on local marketing plans.
  • Strategically navigate the buying process; communicate tactfully and persuasively with stakeholders and budget decision makers.
  • Provide regular reporting on forecast and targeted revenue and KPI’s.
  • Be aware of and report on competitor activity and market trends, with solutions to maximise opportunity in region.

To be successful in this Business Development Manager role you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of selling software solutions (SaaS) in a full cycle, B2B sales role
  • Self-motivated, target driven, comfortable operating flexibly in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to outbound prospect new customers and generate your own new business pipeline
  • Significant evidence of success within a software sales (SaaS) environment
