Cleaner

1. Cardiff Council Cleaning Services is seeking to appoint Cleaners to its Cleaning Team to provide a clean environment to both schools, educational establishments, and corporate council buildings throughout the Cardiff area.
2. You're responsible to ensure that all cleaning undertaken is to the required standard and to work at all times within the Health and Safety requirements and be aware of the necessary fire and evacuation procedures.
3. These opportunities provide workers with flexibility both around the school operating times and also school holidays.

Job Purpose:

• Providing a high quality, value for money, customer focused on-site cleaning service.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective service delivery, share knowledge and keep working within service practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure that all cleaning undertaken is to the required standard. 
• To work at all times within the Health and Safety requirements and be aware of the necessary fire and evacuation procedures.
• To work safely and responsibly when using chemicals and be aware of and follow COSHH Regulations.
• To work at other locations within the city area as reasonably requested.
• To ensure that all cleaning equipment and materials are safely stored at the end of the cleaning shift.
• To undertake training as necessary.
• To act in a courteous and professional manner to all those with whom you have contact.
• To ensure that all problems or concerns are communicated through the Chargehand or Site Supervisor.
• Understand and implement instructions.
