Finance Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our team at Cardiff Bus.

This is a permanent role working 37 hours per week.

The role

You will be part of the finance team and responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function. You will carry out the preparation, input and maintenance of information and data into the financial systems, whilst following procedures and regulations. You’ll be responsible for preparing and timing of payment runs including the reconciliation of supplier statements and agreeing disputed items as well as the reconciliation of bank accounts to payments and receipts.

You should have the following:

• Qualification to degree level or equivalent, with the desire to take on further studies to support career progression.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Evidence excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate data clearly and concisely.
• Knowledge of using finance systems.
• Excellent Excel skills are essential.
• A team player with the ability to build strong team relationships as well as work on own initiative.
• Flexible, professional, and personable.
