Job Description

To assist the L&D Manager in the organisation of the delivery of Learning and Early Careers interventions to support the strategic direction of our growing, energetic law Firm. 

With specific responsibilities for the maintenance and upkeep of training records and our new learning management system, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration for the team. This includes providing support for trainees during their training and on qualification, answering queries from across the firm on a range of L&D related issues and supporting individuals across the firm to find and book onto development specific to their needs. This role is pivotal to the success of the L&D team as it acts as the conduit for all training enquiries and deals with employees at all levels on a daily basis.  

Responsibilities:

L&D:

  • Support L&D Manager in arranging learning opportunities across the business and across all sites.
  • Administration of L&D events including organising venues, arranging materials, IT support, refreshments, preparing training packs, creating delegate lists etc.
  • Ensure advertising of L&D events across the Firm
  • Monitor booking and attendance rates and send feedback forms for evaluation, raising concerns or issues with L&D Manager.
  • Booking delegates onto external training courses, confirming details and recording training in L&D Portal.
  • Responding to email queries and resolving issues
  • Attending training events as required to undertake meet and greet of trainers and delegates, sorting out any queries and ensuring registration process is completed correctly.
  • Supporting external trainers session set up and in person/online as required.
  • Implementing ideas for improvements streamlining processes.
  • Arranging and attending Careers/Law Fairs on an annual basis.
  • Assisting in management of Work Experience Schemes.
  • Administration of Training Loans for employees across the Firm.
  • Manage the day to day running of the training budget and invoicing.
  • Undertake project work as directed by the L&D Manager
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with peers and develop strong working relationships with managers across the firm to promote credibility of the HR function

Experience

  • Experienced with using/implementing learning management systems would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working in a similar role in professional services/legal sector environment would be advantageous.
