You will receive an additional salary enhancement of 30% after 8pm weekdays, 50% weekends and £40.80 per sleep in.

Ensuring the right staff are matched to the right child or young person is at the forefront of the services we deliver. You would have one stable base but from time to time your skills and approach may be better suited to working in one of our other homes. Our homes are all close together and would not involve unreasonable travel considerations.
About The Job:
We are looking to recruit to one of Cardiff’s new Children’s Homes currently being set up, you will be expected to work at this home and expected to support other Childrens homes as and when needed.

We are looking for individuals to help ensure children and young people receive a high level and quality of individual support throughout their time in our homes.
You will be working within a team supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes, build appropriate relationships and have fun, being there at every step of their development. You need to be willing to learn and share experiences, skills and knowledge whilst also putting children and young people at the centre of your role.
As residential workers this role will require a hybrid working model of working both with children within the residential setting and their families in the home and wider community under the ‘The Right Place Model.
What We Are Looking For From You:
As a Residential Childcare Officer, you will play an essential part in providing direct care and effective support to young people to enable them to achieve positive outcomes in line with their childcare personal plan.
Every day is different, and you will face new challenges, we need staff members with a can-do attitude, that are willing to go above and beyond for the young people in their care.
We need our team to help recognise and promote young people’s individuality, uniqueness and diverse needs whilst providing a nurturing and positive environment.
As part of the role, you will participate fully in the caring and supported living environment within the home which will involve household cleaning, maintenance, meal preparation and helping young people get around to events, activities, education, appointments, and meetings.
You will actively support the education plans for children, which may include homework, revision, project work and other educational activities. You will encourage reading and intellectual development of young people by creating a positive environment for learning and support creating positive links with schools, attending events, activities, and parent’s evenings as appropriate.
