Come And Join Our Team:

We are currently looking for an Assistant Solicitor to join our Legal Services. You will be working within the Property Team which is responsible for a wide range of Property transactions, including high profile regeneration projects.

The Role:

You will play a key role in supporting the Council’s Housing Department to help increase our stock of affordable homes, both through the purchase of individual properties and larger scale developments.

The Duties:

A typical day in the life of an Assistant Solicitor could involve:

  • Drafting documents and correspondence
  • Investigating legal title to properties
  • Updating client departments on the progress of cases
  • Liaising with solicitors acting for other parties.

The Candidate:

To be considered for the role you will need:

  • A current practising certificate issued by the SRA
  • Good communication and drafting skills
  • A good understanding of the law, particularly in relation to property transactions, both residential and commercial.

Welsh Language Level - Verbal: Level 2 - You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
