Salary: Grade E - £13.59 - £15.30 per hour (includes weekend working) 

Contract Type: Permanent Part Time

Welsh language level - Verbal: Level 2 - You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.

Being a home carer, your duties will include providing personal care (e.g. helping people to bath, wash, dress, use the toilet), meal preparation, giving medication and helping service users with rehabilitation to help them regain their independence.

You will have extensive training and support to gain the skills and confidence needed to be a great carer. Its hard work but rewarding and you will be part of a big organisation with opportunities to progress. You will be welcomed into a Carmarthenshire County Council Home Care Team that wear their uniforms with pride, supporting some of our most vulnerable residents in local communities. 

This is an opportunity for you to make a real difference, where your support will enable people with care needs (mainly but not exclusively elderly) to live in their own home when it has become too difficult for them to manage alone.
