We’re looking to appoint a Senior IT & Digital Transformation Analyst to lead on the day to day support and development of solutions in our Finance Service.
Supervising a small team of IT specialists you will play a key role in making sure our critical financial IT systems are resilient and operate effectively to support the teams using them including our ledger, cash management, revenues & benefits and payroll systems.
You will also work closely with colleagues across Finance Service teams to ensure their current and future IT and Digital Transformation requirements are met – helping to ensure we exploit technology to deliver benefits in efficiencies, savings and modernised services.
A pre-requisite for the role will be prioritising developing your knowledge of the various Finance Service functions, systems and interfaces. By understanding these critical areas of Council Service Delivery, the underpinning technologies and platforms you will ensure we are in a stronger position to further exploit technology to develop and transform. You will have experience of a range of IT services and/or technologies including databases some programming and reporting tools in previous role(s).

We don’t expect that you can cover all aspects of the role and have the full knowledge required on day one, we are on a Digital Transformation journey and we will support you and colleagues with your development and training so that we have strength in depth as a team.
You should be qualified to degree level in a computing related subject or be able to demonstrate experience appropriate for the role. IT certifications and/or programme or project/process management related qualifications are also desirable for this role.
