An enthusiastic person is required to provide catering for the students, staff and visitors. To provide school meals in accordance with centrally agreed menus and undertake the associated supervisory duties.

The Main Duties Of The Post Will Include:

  • Organise, prepare and serve food at lunchtime for the students, staff and visitors of Ysgol Glan Conwy.
  • Provide on the job training for new cooks and colleagues.
  • Cooking the meals required, portion control, food service, ordering, washing up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room. 
  • Be prepared to undergo appropriate training and development (sometimes outside normal working days/hours by prior arrangement) i.e. Intermediate Food Hygiene and Basic Nutrition.
  • Associated clerical duties.

Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau).

Welsh Language Skills: The ability to conduct a simple conversation in Welsh is desirable for this post. We are committed to our Welsh language and are proud of our Welsh culture. Salary: The hours of work will be approximately 22.50 hours per week and the post will be G03 PR 6 – 7 £12,309.93- £12,916.43 per annum. £12.3844 – £12.5922 per hour.

Package: 22.5 hrs per week, term time only, permanent.
