The Governing Body invites applications for the above post. Experience of working with pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible, under the direction of the Head of Care, for the daily running of a flat or flats, within Llys Gogarth, including the supporting and mentoring of other staff, and to work as part of the whole team
  • To take delegated responsibility for the management of the care and support staff as part of the professional team to the children and young people.
  • In the absence of the Head Of Care to take delegated responsibility for children and young people’s safety, coordinating the team’s response to routine and emergency situations which may arise in their hours of work. This may include liaising with on-call or emergency staff.
  • Develops and maintains systems of delegation and review in order to promote teamwork and communication, in accordance with Llys Gogarth policies.
  • To use reflective practice to promote the skills and confidence of the staff team.
  • Provides regular supervision and review in line with Llys Gogarth policies and care standards. Supports staff in achieving their personal development plans.
  • Assists in the admission arrangements for children and young people 
  • Where necessary to allocate a key worker to individual young people/children as appropriate
  • Financial responsibilities – food budget, pocket money
  • To maintain a responsible and conscientious attitude, responding consistently to the student’s needs at all times, whilst under the supervision of the Registered Manager (Head of Care) 
  • Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Salary: G06 point 20 – 25 £30,296 - £33,945 per annum

Package: 37 hours per week 52 weeks per year (7 days on a rota basis)
