Job Description

Location: Llanfyllin

Contract: 12 hours, fixed term until 31/03/2025

Salary: JNC professional Grade 9-12 (Bar 13-16) £25,664 to £28,501 per annum pro rata (Unqualified)

About The Role:

To work in and alongside the school to provide support for vulnerable young people. Supporting young people by providing one to one support as well as working with the young people in groups.

About You:

The Right Person Will:

  • Be able to build and maintain positive relationships with young people and strategic partners.
  • Be willing to undertake corporate and bespoke training when required
  • Be able to write reports and meet deadlines
  • Have knowledge of relevant legislations including Youth Engagement & Progression Framework.
  • Be enthusiastic and committed
  • Have good communication and listening skills

What You Will Do:

  • Plan and organise youth work programmes.
  • Manage a small caseload, to provide individual support to vulnerable young people.
  • Record, monitor and evaluate youth work activities.
  • Write reports and case studies.
  • Supervise and provide advise to colleagues.
