Management Accountant

Our client is a specialist manufacturing and distribution business and they are now looking to recruit a Management Accountant with manufacturing experience to join the growing finance team. This is a new position within the business, reporting directly to the Finance Director and you will be an integral part of the finance team and the wider Company.

Key Accountabilities:

• Produce accurate monthly management account and presenting the information to the directors with commentary.
• Month end processes, journals, pre-payments and accruals, and reconciliation of the balance sheet.
• Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Providing insightful and meaningful investigations into process costs and variances; implementing and monitoring financial and operational costs.
• Cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis, recommending and executing corrective measures, updating standard costs, and ensuring stock is reconciled and correctly valued.
• Liaising with different departments to obtain operational and financial data, analysing, and interpreting this data and suggesting cost efficient ideas and improvements.
• Yearend account preparation.
• Experience in foreign exchange and export transactions is a distinct advantage
• Ad hoc projects as required including new system implementation.

You will need to have experience in producing a set of management accounts and previous experience within the manufacturing sector is essential. Interviews are ongoing so apply now.
