We are working with an incredible charity, at a project based in Torfaen in their search for great housing, homelessness and tenancy support workers.
There are various long-term temporary roles available.
2 x Floating Support Workers
1 x Mental Health and Homelessness Worker
1 x Supported Housing Worker
- All of the roles are 37 hours per week
- Between 8am and 4pm
- Monday to Friday
- Driver with access to a vehicle is essential
- Salary 23,088 per year
- Long term temporary contracts (12+ months)
- Strong possibility of turning in to permanent contracts (depending on funding)
- 26 days annual leave + 8 days bank holidays
What will you do?
- Travel across the Torfaen, supporting individuals who struggle with their mental health.
- Assisting with housing issues, homelessness, benefits and other tenancy related support.
- Attending the offices in Pontypool for regular meetings.
- Managing a small caseload of service users.
- Conduct home visits.
- Some agile working (out in the community, at home and from the office).
- Keeping case notes and records.
What do we need?
- Experience of housing or tenancy support.
- A good understanding of housing and homelessness legislation.
- Knowledge of trauma informed support and mental health.
- An awareness of safeguarding and the correct recording/reporting procedures.
- Able to deal with challenging and crisis situations.
- The ability to write and follow support plans and document risks.
- Experience in advocacy.
- A good understanding of personal and professional boundaries.
