The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us at Field Vets on a fixed term contract (maternity cover) for up to 12 months. You will oversee general registered veterinary nurse duties, including caring for inpatients, monitoring anaesthesia, assisting vets and nurse clinics.
Rota Patterns That Work For You:
This is a full time position, working 40 hours per week across 4/4.5 days generally working 9-hour shifts, with 1:4 Saturday mornings, carrying out surgery (8 am-1 pm). Shifts are on a four-week rolling rota (2 weeks 4 days and 2 weeks 4.5 days) No out of hours.

Fields Vets is a busy, friendly first-opinion practice located in central Newport. We handle a diverse and interesting caseload and are committed to providing exceptional care. Our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including laparoscopic equipment, dental radiography, and ultrasound.
Our Team:
Our friendly team is made up of 6 vets and supported by 6 nurses and 3 receptionists, supported by an experienced clinical director and practice manager who is also a registered veterinary nurse. We have one internal medicine certificate holder interested in ultrasonography and dermatology, and one of our nurses holds an anaesthesia certificate and we have a surgery certificate trainee. We also benefit from a visiting referral cardiologist. We strongly support and encourage personal development.
