HGSS Operative (L2)

1. We are seeking HGSS Operative to join our team.
2. The purpose of the role is to undertake operational tasks as directed in relation to grounds maintenance, including the operation of ride on mowers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers and hedgetrimmers.
3. You will carry out repair and maintenance activities in respect of grounds maintenance and the maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Contract Hours: 37 hours, Permanent

Salary: Grade 5 Point 7 to Point 9 £24,294 to £25,119 per annum £12.59 to £13.01 per hour

What You Will Do:

• Carry out repair and maintenance activities in respect of grounds maintenance and the maintenance of equipment and facilities, using specialist machinery and tools as necessary.
• Recognise and adhere to all relevant health and safety policies and arrangements in a pro-active manner to ensure that a high standard of safe working practices are maintained. Apply guidance from risk assessments for established tasks and undertake risk assessments for new work arrangements or changes to current arrangements, to ensure operational activities are conducted as safely as possible.
• Carry out the necessary safety equipment and plant checks prior to use, and the associated basic maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Monitor equipment and plant performance, resolve minor problems, and report all malfunctions to the HGSS Supervisor especially breakdowns and accidents.
