We are delighted to announce that we are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Head of Computing to join our thriving and growing Computing AoLE. The successful candidate will primarily teach Computing and Skills and will take the lead in co-ordinating the Skills Challenge Certificate. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the delivery of new programmes in a vital curriculum area that is growing and in demand.

The successful candidate will join a skilled and hard-working Computing team operating within a supportive and encouraging culture. This is a full-time teaching post and an open-ended contract and the Role does hold a TLR2a to support the head of the AOLE and deliver the requirements below. The start date will be January 2025 or sooner.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science and Skills lessons to students across various age groups, ensuring a stimulating learning environment.
  • Foster a passion for technology incorporating innovative teaching methods and real-world applications.

Contribute to the development and implementation of a cutting-edge curriculum. Are you an intuitive, engaging and adaptable classroom practitioner who sets and keeps high expectations?

You will join our enthusiastic and collaborative computing team, teaching across all Key Stages (KS3, 4 and 5). Students follow the following specifications in WJEC Computer Science, Digital Technology, Business Studies, Skills Challenge Certificate.

The AoLE has excellent resources: Five high spec PC suites in the main school building, as well as a dedicated 6th Form Digital Space.

Salary: Pay Scale Within: £30,742 - £47,340 + TLR 2A - £3,271
