Catalysts for Care project
Would you like to work for yourself? Are you passionate about helping people in your community?
The Catalysts for Care project offers FREE 1-1 support to help you set up your own care / support enterprise (or business). You could work the hours that suit you and serve a need that’s close to your heart in your local area.
Enterprises can provide a range of different services from ‘home help’: supporting people with their house work, helping them to enjoy hobbies and providing companionship; to more specialist personal care. Outside of the home, enterprises can provide support through running art groups, pet care services, nature and environmental recreation, training opportunities or day care provision for people with learning differences - really, anything that helps people to live independently and well.
Pembrokeshire County Council is the local authority for the county of Pembrokeshire, one of the principal areas of Wales.
Since the 2017 election the council has been led by a coalition of some of the independent councillors, Labour, Plaid Cymru and the Liberal Democrats, with the same coalition continuing following the 2022 election.
The first election to the modern council was held in 1995, initially operating as a shadow authority before coming into its powers on 1 April 1996. Independent councillors have held over half the council's seats ever since 1996:
