Cleaner - Gelliswick VC School

1. The governing body of Gelliswick School is seeking to secure a cleaner to our vibrant school.
2. You're responsible to undertake, normally as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas within school premises to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
3. The successful candidate will meet the person specification in the job description, demonstrate excellent commitment and have high expectations for the clean and safe conditions of our building.

Grade 2 - £22,366 for 10  hours per week term time only for 46.4 weeks per annum equating to £5,379.40 pro rata

10 hours per week Monday to Friday term time, plus 10 days during school closure periods

Principle Responsibilities:

School Cleaner

• Undertake, normally as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas within school premises to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.  
• Duties will include: the cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying litter bins, polishing and dusting of designated areas (which may include toilet and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate the necessary powered equipment.
• Duties may vary between term and closure periods.

Person Specification

• Previous cleaning experience would be advantageous.
