Job Description

Hours: 35 hours per week (flexibility to work outside of normal working hours as required)

Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum

Pension: Auto enrolment pension (6% employer contribution)

Holidays: 25 days per annum plus statutory

One Wales is an innovative service aimed at providing engagement, support and diversion for Women and Young Adults (18-25) from the criminal justice system including at first contact within police custody.

The One Wales is a partnership between Nelson Trust, Media Academy Cymru, PACT, St Giles and BtheChange dedicated to reducing reoffending and diverting people into appropriate support at the earliest opportunity.

We are looking for a number of Women’s Keyworkers to provide holistic support and coordinated interventions for women at any point of the Criminal Justice System. This includes women at risk, women at first point of contact as part of OOCD or diversion, women under supervision of probation and women released from HMP Eastwood Park. We are looking for Keyworkers to cover the areas of either Swansea or RCT.

As a Keyworker you will offer gender-responsive, trauma informed practical and emotional support and interventions to address needs with housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families and education, training and employment with the aim of reducing social harms and re-offending whilst empowering women to access opportunities to reach their full potential.

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
