Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cultural Services, Parks and Cleansing Department for a qualified Arborist The Tree Services Unit is looking for a trained and certified tree surgeon who can work as part of a larger team on all aspects of practical arboriculture.

The successful applicant will undertake a full range of interesting and challenging arboriculture work across the Council parks, highways, schools, cemeteries, woodlands, nature reserves, and council housing stock.

The successful applicant will join a professional team undertaking specialist tree care and woodland management using an extensive range of modern equipment and methods. These positions offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge within a team committed to high standards in the management of trees.

All applicants must hold a full driving licence; preferably, with C1 + E entitlement

Contracted working hours are 37 per week Monday to Friday, and candidates must also be available to participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
