Job Description

Financial Controller job description

  • Manage the month-end close process for all group companies and prepare the group consolidated accounts.
  • Analysis of actual performance vs the financial plan.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain monthly rolling income statement and balance sheet forecast.
  • Prepare detailed budget, working with cost centre owners to ensure the components and the drivers of the budget are well understood.
  • Cashflow forecasting.
  • Preparation of year end audit files for all group companies and liaise with auditors during completion of the audits.
  • Responsible for VAT and Tax for group companies.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, creating a culture of continuous
  • Implement financial policies and procedures that enhance internal controls and improve efficiency of financial processes.

Financial Controller person specification

  • Ideally qualified accountant with financial accounting and reporting experience.
  • Advanced Excel ability and excellent software skills.
  • Ambitious, self improver.
  • Good people leadership skills with the ability to develop others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adapt and embrace change.
