Job description
As our HR MI Data Analyst, you will be working within a small, dynamic team involved in the production of accurate and timely management information (MI) reports and analysis of data, ensuring that reports are presented in an engaging and clear format to both internal and external stakeholders, such as Cabinet Office and the Department for Transport.
We’ll look to you to develop and provide regular MI reports, drawing on a range of DVLA related data sources/systems. You will provide data for Parliamentary Questions, Freedom of Information requests, as well as responding to requests for data from operational colleagues as required.
This is a fast-paced, varied, and demanding role. You will need to be someone who enjoys working with large operational datasets and understands the importance of reporting legislation in line with GDPR and Data Protection. You will be a strong team player, with a positive attitude and be highly resilient.

Person specification
You will come to us with strong IT skills and with experience of producing, manipulating, and presenting data. You will be a confident user of MS Excel. You will have a passion for data and will have strong analytical and numerical skills.
You will have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work methodically to tight timescales. You take great pride in your work and your attention to detail is second to none. You get a real sense of achievement seeing your work through to completion. You look at the bigger picture and take a positive approach to solving problems.
With your confident communication skills, you have no problem in varying circumstances and can tailor your tone and language to your audience. As a natural networker, you enjoy liaising with stakeholders of all levels and can express yourself in a confident and concise manner.
Due to the evolving nature of the business, vacancies can become available at any time. Therefore, this campaign may create a reserve list to fulfil demand if it arises which will be held for a period of 12 months.
