The Role:

• Working under cGMP and relevant Health and Safety procedures within the laboratory.
• Responsible for completion of daily assigned Laboratory support tasks to minimise down time for testing activities including glassware washing, general housekeeping, refilling of consumables, ordering of reagents / consumables / standards / KanBan re-orders etc. as required, emptying and disposal of Laboratory waste and performance of equipment Verification / Calibrations.
• Responsible for the booking in of samples and notification of sample receipt to AS department. Responsible for the management of samples and destruction requirements.
• Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly verification (as required) for analytical equipment to ensure availability for analyst use and any other required analyst support tasks identified within the job holders capabilities.
• Assist in general housekeeping of department and the review and replacement of laboratory consumables within the department.
• Logging in of HPLC / UPLC / GC columns and issuing of column history sheets.
• To be able to plan and prioritise assigned daily tasks so that there is minimum disruption to analytical testing
• To ensure that all personal lead times are complied with, subject to the absence of attenuating circumstances.
• Be able to be flexible and able to change priorities quickly to suit department requirements.
• Responsible for the review of stock levels for consumables, pink card and Kanban stock and perform re-ordering of stock as required.
• Responsible for collection of incoming AS goods, booking in of goods and distribution throughout the laboratory
• Good communications skills to work with other team members, analysts, team leaders and wider team as required
• To perform routine laboratory procedures right first time with minimal personal deviations.
• To assist in Continuous improvement project work within the team, as required.
• To ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to with respect to personal duties and the duties of others.
