Job Description

Do you love walking and cycling? Enjoy spending time on the National Cycle Network? If the answer is yes, then we have the perfect job for you. We're recruiting for face-to-face fundraisers in locations across the UK.

  • Contract: Agency (Temporary - ongoing)
  • Location: Barnstaple, Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Cornwall, Exeter, London, Manchester, Glasgow, York
  • 5-35 hours a week (Flexible working patterns, part time and full time available) (5-hour shifts between 10am and 7.30pm)
  • £13.25 per hour (London) / £12.00 per hour (rest of UK) - paid weekly. This is not a commission-only role.
  • Closing date: Ongoing

About the role

You will be part of a team of passionate and well-informed fundraisers who will be out on the National Cycle Network helping raise our profile and inspiring new donors to help us make it easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle.

Always working with others, we make sure you are given excellent training so that you are ready, confident and prepared to approach people on the Network.

About you

You will:

The locations where our fundraisers work are often in green spaces with nature around you. Having access to a bicycle to travel to the fundraising location is advantageous.

Sustrans
Company Information

Sustrans is a UK walking and cycling charity and custodian of the National Cycle Network. Its flagship project is the National Cycle Network, which has created 12,763 miles (20,540 kilometres) of signed cycle routes throughout the UK including 5,273 mi (8,486 km) of traffic-free paths. The remaining miles of the Network is on previously existing, mostly minor roads, in which motor traffic will be encountered.

Sustrans works with schools to encourage active travel (cycling, walking or scooting) among students. It also works with employers and local authorities. It administers several thousand volunteers who contribute their time to the charity in numerous ways, such as cleaning and maintaining the National Cycle Network, enhancing biodiversity along the routes, leading walks and rides and supporting communities to improve their air quality.
