Diversity And Welsh Language:
Dyfed Powys Police are inclusive employers and strive to have a workforce representative of the communities they police and serve. We believe that we will benefit from the variety of thinking, approach, and skills that diversity can bring; all of which helps us to deliver a better policing service.
We continue to work towards creating a safe, open culture that is ethical and inclusive of all. We have a range of staff networks and groups to provide specific support and advice, and our aim is to recruit talented people with a diverse range of skills and experience. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and communities regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, disability, social status, or religious beliefs.
What Can You Expect?
The area served by Dyfed-Powys Police includes Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys. We serve more than 515,000 people, which rises significantly with tourists each year. Almost half of the total resident population is aged 45 and over, and 22% are aged over 65.
We deal with a wide range of enquiries from our communities. Some can be resolved immediately over the phone, at a police station or through other contact points. Others need further investigation or the benefit of specialist knowledge or expertise. We take pride in providing a high quality of service regardless of why or how you have contacted us.
