Looking for a term time only role, Monday – Friday with plenty of time off over the weekends and school holidays?

We are currently recruiting an Assistant Cook to join our team at Colleg Gwent, Cross Keys Campus, Risca Road, Newport, NP11 7ZA

£11.44 per hour

Part time – 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7.30am - 2pm

39 working weeks out of the year, term time only

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting Chef Manager in preperation and production of breakfast and lunch

Serving and till operation

Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment

Ensure food is correctly stored according to food safety policies and guidelines

Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and utensils

Use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables and other food

Present and garnish food and portions according to guidelines

Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers and co workers

Assisting in the compilation of all shift opening and closing checklists

Experience:

NVQ in catering is desired but not essential

Previous cooking experience

DBS checks required

E learning is available through our online learning system to obtain Food Safety Level 2/3 certificate
