We are seeking to appoint a permanent skilled and committed Learning Support Assistant who will support and implement agreed work programs with individuals/groups, in and out of the classroom, addressing the needs of pupils requiring particular help to overcome barriers to learning.
We are delighted to share the positive statements from our Estyn inspection. Estyn stated that “The school has refined and strengthened its wellbeing provision and this has had a positive impact on behaviour, attitudes to learning and attendance. This in turn has reinforced the schools high expectations of behaviour and attendance.”
We work hard to help grow caring, thoughtful and passionate pupils who are proud of themselves and the community they live in. We are so very pleased that ESTYN recognised this in their report, commenting specifically on, “The sense of a close and supportive community and team ethos are strong aspects of life at Milford Haven School,” this is all thanks to the incredible hard work of our pupils, staff and wider school family.
Safeguarding and Child Protection are key priorities for Pembrokeshire's Children and Schools Service. We aim to support vulnerable children and young people to ensure they are as safe as they can possibly be. Our schools are committed to ensuring the safety and protection of all children and will take action to safeguard their well-being, and acknowledge that children have a right to protection. This is supported in the general ethos of all schools.
Pembrokeshire County Council is the local authority for the county of Pembrokeshire, one of the principal areas of Wales.
Since the 2017 election the council has been led by a coalition of some of the independent councillors, Labour, Plaid Cymru and the Liberal Democrats, with the same coalition continuing following the 2022 election.
The first election to the modern council was held in 1995, initially operating as a shadow authority before coming into its powers on 1 April 1996. Independent councillors have held over half the council's seats ever since 1996:
