About The Role:
The Specialist Social Worker will carry a small caseload of complex cases that are or are likely to end up in the court arena. They may also supervise workers in relation to cases that are subject to court proceedings. They will liaise closely with our Legal, Safeguarding and DoLs teams to promote preventative work leading to a reduction in legal challenges.
About You:
You will be passionate about upholding and promoting the rights of citizens. You are able to work independently and as part of a team. You are an experienced social worker or allied professional with experience of working with difficult cases. You have a good understanding of legislation and how to prepare cases for court proceedings.
What You Will Do:
You will carry a small caseload of complex cases subject to legal proceedings. You will support others with complex cases that are subject to legal challenge and complaints. You will supervise workers in relation to particular cases where your expertise and knowledge can help them navigate challenging work. You will promote good practice, sound judgement and analysis. You will contribute to the overall service development of Older People Services.

Salary: Grade 12 Point 33 to Point 35 £41,418 to £43,421 per annum £21.46 to £22.50 per hour
