Job Description

Health & Safety Advisor

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 (dependant on experience)

Duration: Permanent

Location: Merthyr Tydfil

They are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team and assist the existing Health & Safety Manager.

The successful applicant will be responsible to completing regular site visits, liaising with site managers and implementing improvements as required.

This role is targeted towards someone who will assist and learn from the existing Health & Safety Manager in order to become a key member of the team, not a time served Health & Safety professional.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments to ensure that companies follow legal requirements and prioritise employees' safety in the workplace.
  • Identify and evaluate possible hazards, record their findings and provide relevant updates and solutions to the company's current health and safety policies.
  • Oversee a safe workplace environment and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations of an organization. As Principle Contractor we require regular site visits, inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal , company and Client requirements.
  • Assist the Principal, Managers and/or management team by providing advice on health and safety at the workplace.
  • Champion compliance with health and safety standards and legal regulations.
  • Provide advice, information and build capability with employees across a range of health and safety programs.
