Support Worker - Supported Tenancies

1. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and a passion for working with people who have a Learning disability.
2. You will be supporting people with Learning disabilities to develop their skills and independence by demonstrating and modelling activities.
3. We will train you and develop your skills.

Location: Newtown

Contract Hours: 21 hours, Permanent

Salary: Grade 5 + 17.5% Point 107 to Point 109 £28,545 to £29,515 per annum pro rata £14.79 to £15.29 per hour

About The Role:

Post is a 21 hour per week Support Worker

Working to a six-week rolling rota subject to change to meet needs of the service.

There is a requirement to work shifts day and evenings also weekends and Bank Holidays.

You will be supporting Adults who have a Learning Disability to manage their own home as to the principal responsibilities detailed in the Job description.

What You Will Do:

• Supporting people with Learning disabilities to develop their skills and independence by demonstrating and modelling activities.
• Working alongside a dedicated staff team and other professionals in the service users’ own home and other required venues.
• Undertaking practical tasks and supporting people with their personal care, domestic activities and socially in the community.
• Supporting service users to build and maintain family and friendship links and to reach goals and achieve personal outcomes.
• Participating constructively in regular staff supervision and appraisal sessions.
• Contribute to written assessments and Care Plans and attend Care Planning meetings compiling and keeping detailed records and reports.
• Participating/attending required training to develop, grow and gain skills to enhance the role.
