We are hiring for a an Assistant Investment Executive, Investment Executive and a Senior Investment Executive based in Wales

We have opportunities for individuals to join our Micro Loans team; whether you have experience in a similar role or are looking to continue your financial career, we have the role for you! We’re looking for the following (internally known as):

  • Assistant Investment Executive role starting salary £28,000 
  • Investment Executive starting salary £32,780 
  • Senior Investment Executive starting salary £41,040 

You’ll be responsible for sourcing and appraising investment proposals, most of which will be unsecured, so we’ll provide full training to ensure you have all the necessary knowledge to liaise with SME across Wales. With offices in Cardiff, Wrexham, Llandudno, Llanelli and Newtown, you can be based anywhere across Wales, as long as you are flexible to travel and attend your local office on a regular basis (twice a week)

Working to agreed targets, you will be able to deliver results and demonstrate key negotiation and networking skills, as you develop strong working relationships with business introducers and intermediaries. You’ll thrive in a business development environment and feel at ease presenting to both small and large audiences and use your network to promote our business loans to companies in your specific territory.

With a meticulous approach to work, you will prepare detailed investment reports, always ensuring best practice and compliance within all investment activities. You will contribute to the operation of the Development Bank as a professional fund management company and provider of risk capital to start-up and existing businesses and will operate under delegated authority limits and Investment Operational Guidelines in a regulated environment.   

You don’t have to have years of experience in investing or lending; you don’t need to know our world inside out. Whether you have financial analysis experience or are at the start of your career, you’ll be ready to embark on a rewarding career, with full support and guidance to learn new skills and gain an understanding of risk assessment and investment processes or build upon your current knowledge.
