Where Does This Role Fit In?

This role will pay a key part within the Employee Relations team, providing an unbiased and neutral perspective on workplace investigations. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and management to ensure investigations are conducted with fairness and focus on resolution, while maintaining compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

What skills and experience do you need?

To excel in this role, you should have proven experience as an Employment Relations Investigator or in a similar position, with a comprehensive understanding of employment legislation, regulation, and best practice. You must possess robust knowledge of investigative techniques, including interviewing, evidence collection, analysis, along with critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate complex information, identify patterns, draw sound conclusions and be expert in producing quality investigation reports.

Effective communication is essential; you should be able to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Your interpersonal skills should enable you to build trust, handle sensitive situations, and maintain confidentiality throughout the investigative process. Additionally, being detail-oriented and highly organised is crucial, as you will need to manage multiple investigations simultaneously in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, along with CIPD Level 5 or above. In addition a relevant workplace investigation accreditation is essential.

What are the pay and benefits?

  • This is a Full time role at 37 hours per week for a 12 month fixed term position.  The salary is £47,233
  • Flexible working policies – this is a hybrid role. Due to the nature of the role time will spent throughout our services and the geographical location will cover South Wales. Our head offices are Newport and Swansea, where we have our team meet ups and your base location will be set closest to your home.
